If you're planning on singing a particular song for the May 15 concert, you should be very close to having that song fully memorized. Keep working hard!
Some edits (marked "5/01" on the respective song pages' notes sections) have been made to the sheet music for
Wonderful Invention.
Wednesday, 04/28/04
More photos have been posted. Where's the photographic proof that the Boston folks are actually rehearsing?
Some edits (marked "4/28" on the respective song pages' notes sections) have been made to the sheet music for
And Can it Be,
Be Ye Glad,
and
The Reason We Sing.
Monday, 04/26/04
Note that the time for the 15th anniversary has been changed to 5pm (which is one hour later).
Thursday, 04/22/04 Some photos have been posted. Get them while they're hot. Send me more and I'll post them.
Wednesday, 04/21/04
Each song that we're preparing has been given
its own web page on which to post notes on rehearsals (e.g. directions on how to sing the song), sheet music, and participants lists.
Updates have been made to the sheet music for
"And Can it Be",
"Be Ye Glad",
"The Reason We Sing", and
"Wonderful Invention";
please look at each individual song page (links above)
for a list of the updates (and please download the latest sheet music).
Saturday, 04/17/04
The sheet music for "Wonderful Invention" and "Be Ye Glad" have been updated (with all lyrics) and posted.
The first DC-area rehearsal will be held later today. Look for notes on the rehearsal (how songs went) to be posted here later this weekend.
Wednesday, 04/14/04
The sheet music for "Flower in the Rain" and "Testify to Love" has been updated (to bring it in line with the official versions that will be used in Boston).
Wednesday, 04/07/04
We have narrowed down the list of songs that we will be performing to the following (with only a minor degree of possible variation remaining):
Be Ye Glad
Flower in the Rain
How Beautiful
Testify to Love
Wonderful Invention
And Can it Be
Listen to Our Hearts
The Lord Bless You and Keep You
The Reason We Sing
In a day or two, this site will be cleaned up to focus on just those songs.

An email went out today to those alums who have confirmed that they will be participating. It's an "individual singing preferences poll". Confirmed alums, please make sure that you fill it out and send it in (use this contact form if you don't know the email address to which to send it).
D.C.-area people, you can expect to be contacted soon (tomorrow night) about our "nugget" team rehearsal schedule.
Participating alums (especially those not in Boston or D.C.), please take a look at this "levels of readiness" write-up, to get an idea of the sort of progress we want to make in order to be concert-ready on our songs.
Sheet music has been posted for a couple more songs in the list.
Tuesday, 03/30/04
A signficant amount of information has been added to the "important information" page. Please take a look at it.
Later this evening, you can expect an email calling for alums to
contact the appropriate "directors" for the songs on which they're interested to sing.
Monday, 03/29/04
The mad dash to transcribe arrangements continues, and it should be wrapping up by around this Wednesday. At that point, you should be able to see and hear all of the songs (so far) that are being looked at for performance on May 15.
Most all of the songs being focused on by Boston folks are already available here.
People in Boston and D.C. should be contacted pretty soon (sometime this week) about local rehearsals. And / or it sounds like the Boston folks have already been getting in touch about rehearsals.
Everybody (across the country) should also expect to be contacted (by email) about picking the songs on which we're each going to sing. We don't want to be scattershot about who's singing what; we need to know (and keep track of) who is actually singing on what songs, so that we don't get any nasty surprises come May 15.
Saturday, 03/27/04
You can now download sheet music (for the songs that we are preparing) directly from this site. Sheet music for more songs will be added as it is transcribed (over the coming week).
You will need the username and password in order to download any sheet music (contact Matt Libby to get them).
For information about sheet music file formats, please read this brief explanation.
Friday, 03/26/04
As you can see, there is now quite a lot of information here, so we're starting to reorganize things a bit better.
If there is some particular information that you'd like to see posted here, contact Matt about it.
