Concert details announcment, sent by Matt Libby on 05/10/2004:
Here's one last mass email to all the alumni concert participants (at least I hope it's the last one).
----
[1] CONCERT DAY DETAILS
Details about the concert day (May 15) have been posted to the support site, at the URL
http://mlibby.net/hasBeen/
PLEASE take a look at the information on there. In particular, please pay close attention to the SCHEDULE and CONCERT DRESS information.
Since they're so important, I'm going to include, in this email, two particular details that you'll see on the site).
- The alums will get together at 10am Saturday morning in the Mezzanine Lounge, to start rehearsing. See the site (above) for details.
- Concert dress is BLACK BOTTOMS and SOLID-COLORED TOPS. See the site (above) for details.
----
[2] SEND YOUR ARRIVAL TIMES TO ME
Since I love to be flooded by emails, please send information about your expected arrival time in Boston to
[deleted]
I know that some of you have already communicated (to various people) your travel / arrival plans, but I want to consolidate all that stuff in one place (so that we know who to expect and so that we know when to freak out if someone hasn't appeared yet).
I'm looking for responses like "I will arrive in the area at roughly 10pm Friday night".
----
[3] KEEP WORKING ON THOSE SONGS
We probably aren't having any more rehearsals until Saturday morning, so the more familiar you are with your songs, the better that whole thing will go. KEEP PRACTICING on your own, please.
----
[4] GET A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP ON FRIDAY
If you take a look at the schedule (see the site, above), you'll notice that Saturday is going to be a long, hard day, and you're definitely going to feel like your legs are made of Jell-O by the time we're done. So do yourself a favor and get plenty of sleep Friday night.
To that end, if anyone needs something to do Friday night (in Cambridge), give me a call and we can hang out, or go somewhere, or something. I can safely guarantee that you'll end up getting a lot of sleep that night.
----
[5] EAT YOUR VEGETABLES; THEY'RE GOOD FOR YOU
Green, leafy vegetables have lots of good stuff in them, and the FDA folks are probably never going to stop discovering more wonderful compounds in the humble soybean. So when something is this wonderful, your natural response should be to eat it, of course.
----
[6] WHY CAN'T YOU BE MORE LIKE YOUR BROTHER?
Your brother just does everything so well, and he never talks back. Why can't you be more like him?
----
See you at MIT. Thanks to everyone for working so hard on this ("how many engineers does it take to sing nine songs?"), and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all.
-Matt
For God is the King of all the earth;
Sing praises with understanding. - Psalm 47:7
